The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects.
A Green Belt is someone with at least three years of work experience who wants to demonstrate his or her knowledge of Six Sigma tools and processes. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification has no recertification requirements. It is a lifetime certification.
Green Belts are employees of an organization who have been trained on the Six Sigma improvement methodology and will lead a process improvement team as part of their full-time job. While Green Belts do not need to know as much as Black Belts or Master Black Belts, there are many things a Green Belt should know.
Following the disciplined DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap, students learn to collect and analyze performance data, identify inefficiencies and problems, pinpoint the root causes of those problems and institute new protocols to greatly improve processes. They also obtain skills in leading teams through the process of change.
Define, design and execute DMAIC projects. DMAIC is a data-driven quality strategy used to improve processes. It is an integral part of a Six Sigma initiative, but in general can be implemented as a standalone quality improvement procedure or as part of other process improvement initiatives such as lean.

Apply such Lean concepts as 5S, waste reduction, mistake proofing and value stream mapping.5S engages people through the use of 'Standards' and ‘Discipline'.
It is not just about housekeeping, but concentrating on maintaining the standards & discipline to manage the organisation - all achieved by upholding & showing respect for the Gemba [workplace] every day.
